The Imtech Arena

Entering the Hamburg section, you'll walk directly towards the Imtech Arena. This model (initially constructed under a different name) is a very special construction and for sure one of the most important Wunderland landmarks. The construction of the HSV football stadium took more than 1,200 working hours. Adding manhours and material costs, it is worth more than 20,000 €. The conversion to Imtec Arena in 2010 took another 25 work days. 12,000 figures are sitting or standing on grandstands, all of them glued in place by hand. Approximately 2,000 LEDs ensure a perfect illumination of the stadium.

By the way, the arena has been built in scale 1:150, as a true to scale (1:87) copy would have been 2.20 meters by 3.00 meters.

With fireworks in scale 1:87, today's nameplate has been unveiled at the Imtech Arena in 2010. The change of the name at the real Arena in Hamburg took place a few days later.

At the Imtec Arena The legendary local match between HSV vs. St. Pauli in 2001 takes place regularly, on a daily basis, to be precise. The match has been carried out more than 240,840 times by now, with the HSV leading 963,360 to 722,520 goals (update: 05/2007).
