Since December 2001 the German version of "The Lion King" is executed in a theater in Hamburg's harbour. It very soon became the most successfull musical in Germany. You will be fascinated by this stage artwork with its breathtaking masks and amazing costumes. The fusion of African rythms and pop music by Elton John captures you and makes you feel the Serengeti with its animal kingdom. 

The theater director Julie Taymor created on the basis of the Disney-Film "The Lion King" this extraordinary stage entertainment. Within a terrific stage design the story of the young lion Simba is being told that fights for his right to become the king of the animal world.
