Ship Control System

Since 2004, the team around Gerrit Braun has been working to develop a fully automated ship control mechanism.

For over 20 years, civil inland water transportation experts have been working on an automatic pilot system for ships, but haven't really succeeded so far. Nevertheless, Gerrit Braun and his team are quite optimistic that in the near future, 15 to 30 vessels will be steered fully-automated on our North and Baltic Sea. For these purposes, 48 self-made satellites were already installed above the water basin.
