Mount Rushmore

Mount Rushmore in South Dakota is one of the most famous landmarks in America and is therefore a must in the Miniatur Wunderland as well. The original was carved, chiselled and hammered into the granite.

The reproduction of the four American presidents Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln took 14 summers in total. The Wunderland’s replica of these four great American personalities was a bit more efficient due to the scale of the work, the heads having been chiselled into the plaster of the rocks over months instead of years.
