What scale is the railroad (gauge) done in?
I saw that it's 1:87, but what about the tracks?
Is it HO, TT, N, or a mixture of gauges?
(I still have my 35+ year old TT trains my family brought from Germany).
I think the forum and the main website could use an FAQ about the exhibit itself.

Comment:
We ´re building in 1:87 whitch means H0 gauge but also use H0e for some tracks...

The video was very interesting, but for the first 2 minutes every few seconds it would pause and show that it was connecting to the site. Hard to follow the narrative that way.

I got a post including your video. How wonderful this is. I don't think I will ever be able to see it in person. How can I get the English version? Want to send on to many friends.
I bought my son Marklin trains, when he was little. Is that what your trains are, Marklin? His had the pantagraph overhead. Just magnificent. So accurate, cute. Thank you for bringing us such joy. JC

Friday, May 22, 2009. My friends and me from LMTC (Leuvense Model-Trein-Club) from Leuven in Belgium, were visiting MiWoLa for the first time. It was really out of our expections what we saw. The beautifull landscapes, especially those of Switserland, the Harz and Narvik were very nice. Also the others. We also visited the exhibtion behind the stage. Its really a technical miracle that so many tains trains and cars are driving perfectly without problems. Also the Scandinavian harbour and the beach is a masterpiece of technological fantasy. Congratuliations to the MiWoLa-team. It was a very nice and interesting day. We will come back to see the exhibition growing.

How beautiful! It is a pity I cannot travel by air to see it, so I will be content with the videos. I commend your innovation and enthusiasm.
For the benefit of young people I would comment that this sort of thing would have been impossibly uneconomical to maintain just a decade or two ago, especially concerning the lighting which would have been by regular lamps burning out frequently. Additionally, the computers available then to control this project would have filled a very large room, not counting the control consoles and computer displays, and the power and dedicated air conditioning would have been impractical considering the 10E price charged for admission today. The moving models would also have been far larger due to the electronics size of times past. So, behind the beauty of this Wunderland is also another wonder of progress in technology.

Hi,
I’m planning to visit Miniatur-Wunderland as soon as possible, browsing internet I discovered your site….It’s terrific (in a good sense) for the layout, the solutions, the technology and not the least, the idea how it’s implemented, the human value into the people working at Miniatur-Wunderland
Bravi!!!

I am very impressed with this exhibit. I plan to visit Germany in about 4 or 5 years and would like to come and visit in person. I wish the USA had such a wonderful miniature railroad exhibit.
Comment: You´re welcome ;-)

I love your excellent layout! The amount of detail is just jaw-dropping! However, I do have to say, coming from the US and visiting Las Vegas many times before, your America section seems to be a little less detailed and a bit off in the vehicles used. Nevertheless, I hope to see this marvelous work someday!
