I saw the video on YouTube yesterday and the level of detail and complexity is so impressive. You have taken it about 80 steps farther then any other train layout I have ever seen. My son and I would love to visit in person and have started to plan a family trip for the summer of 2011.
Comment: We are looking forward to your visit :o)

Dear sirs,
yesterday I wrote you a message but I'm not sure you received it.
I'm surprised and entusiast of your creation.
I remember the Wupperthall model moving around Europe on board a train vagon.
Reading your waiting projects I noticed that you mentioned trains passing with red signal.
I've patented a system for preventing human error crashes as they continuously happen (last in Italy few weeks ago).
I'm looking for find people or Companies interested in a test installation on a real railway. Are you interested in trying develope a demo application on your model? do you know electronics or railway Companies interested in improving transport safety? There is work to be done with students, universities, industries and lives to save. Do you see any opportunity to share ideas and developments?
The basic principle is localisation of a train without the GPS but with great accuracy. This could be done on your trains. Could you imagine having the possibility to "see" where each train really is? if it is passing with red signals; if derailed under a tunnel....
That's it.
If you are interested you can find an italian article at http://www.articolionline.net/2009/10/la-sicurezza-ferroviaria-che-si.html
A translation in english is available on request to ik2ihz@libero.it
Hope to receive your feedbacks.
Happy new Year and Merry Christmass, Gianantonio.

Gianantonio Moretto from Novedrate (CO) Italy
Good evening, I discovered your fantastic railway model from an electronic magazine in Italy (ElettronicaIn). I had a quick look to YouTube videos. The last I saw so impressive was Wuppertal train model on a train vagon back in 1960's and the large installation in Brescia.
I hope to have opportunity to come over there and spend a day visiting your construction.
There is another reason for writing you: I patented in Italy a system for train protection against human errors like happened in Italy, in Germany, in Egipth, in India etc on poor lines where investments in infrastructures are not done.
I have a proposal: are you interested or available for installing a representative system onto your model?
It seams quite impossible finding responsibles of the railways available to analyse it. The system needs to be defined, designed and built for an application like your model but a representative system would demonstrate the capability of such a design. If you can read italian text you can find a description (very generic) at http://www.articolionline.net/2009/10/la-sicurezza-ferroviaria-che-si.html
If you want an english version I have it available.
I'm available to share with interested people or Companies the content, the ideas, the work and, why not, the commercialisation of a similar system for real railways applications.
Hope I'ld receive at least a feedback from you.
Many thanks in advance

Found your website by surfing. I have to say I am amazed to the attention of detail you and your team have placed in your wonderland! What I found the most interesting is the car and ship system you use to get the vehicles and ship to move. And now your adding an airport, fantastic! It would be nice to see your layout grace the pages of Model Railroader a US based magazine dedicated to our great hobby. I will definately be bookmarking your site. I know I will be planning a vacation to Hamburg in the future to spend atleast a week looking and photographing your wonderful layout.

You have a fantastic collection.
I still have my 1939 Lionel "o" track set up and running.
It's a pleasure to watch your trains tour the world!

I'm coming to Europe again next June and, in part, will be arriving Germany on a Holland America cruise ship. Wouldn't it be wonderful if your model train site was one of the excursions offered? Our stop (Warnemunde)) is presumably for side trips to Berlin, but I'd opt for a visit to Hamburg instead if it was offered. Can this become reality?

Great Job!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY almost!!
Since you are the geniuses of the model train world, I take courage in asking this question -
Please tell me if you know where I can purchase an S1 steam locomotive (1930) of the Pennsylvania Railroad (only S1). We are great collectors here.
Thank you.
Susan
