Vaduz Castle

Wunderland has a heart for small countries! In the Switzerland section, another country is represented by Vaduz Castle from Liechtenstein.

Since November 2025, another small country has been hidden away in the Switzerland section of Wunderland. With Vaduz Castle, a small representation of Liechtenstein moved into Wunderland. The real Principality of Liechtenstein is located between the Alpine nations of Switzerland and Austria. While searching for a suitable location for the castle, a place in the Austria section was also considered. In the end, the hillside location in the Switzerland section was chosen – it was a better fit for the original landscape. Since then, the castle has been perched at the foot of the miniature Alps, on the edge of the canton of Graubünden, not far from Brichur station and the imposing Landwasser Viaduct.

The floor plan of the castle is on a scale of 1:110, and the building is then adjusted to a ratio of 1:87. The building was first drawn in 3D and then assembled and colored from over 1,500 individual components. The model building team worked on the construction of the castle from February 2025 to November 2025. During construction, the Wunderland team engaged in diplomatic exchanges to create an accurate representation of the building.
