Almost exactly 20 years ago, we opened our Scandinavia section, the largest real water basin we have ever built. There are 25,000 litres of water permanently in the basin, giving our ships room to set sail. We constantly pump 5,000 litres of water back and forth via our equalisation basin to clean it on the one hand and simulate ebb and flow on the other. And then there's the tiresome issue of ship control... since the opening in 2005, Gerrit has received countless emails asking when it will finally be installed... but see for yourself 😉
