Volksparkstadion in Wunderland shines pink for International Day of the Girl
In collaboration with the children's aid organization Plan International, the Volksparkstadion is illuminated in pink at Miniatur Wunderland on International Day of the Girl.
October 11 is International Day of the Girl. Miniatur Wunderland is also marking this occasion: the Volksparkstadion will be illuminated in pink.
Since 2012, the organization Plan International has been drawing attention to the rights of girls worldwide on this day by illuminating famous buildings around the globe. This year, the focus is on early marriage. Every year, around 12 million girls are still married before they reach the age of majority. Child marriages deprive girls of educational opportunities, freedom, and the ability to make their own decisions about their lives.
