Kesselhaus

The Kesselhaus, a brick building of 1886/87, has once been the power center of the Speicherstadt. Today you'll find here the InfoCenter of the new HafenCity with almost every information about the biggest inner-city construction project of Europe. You can read up on the progress of construction works and the changing, which currently take place on the area between the Elbbrücken and the Kehrwiederspitze. There is an eight times four meters large model on a scale of 1:500 in the Kesselhaus, which documents every changing in the new city center quarter. Since the opening in 2000 very different people from home and abroad have visited the InfoCenter. Brochures, changing exhibits, actual architect competitions and the impressive model offer many opportunities to get a picture of the project.
