Directions A7 Coming  From Kiel

The way through the city is shorter than the one over the Kohlbrandbrücke. However, the latter is a lot more interesting. Regarding traffic info, pay attention if there is a traffic jam on Kieler Straße (B4) or before the Elbtunnel direction South.

We took pictures of crucial points, which help you to easily drive the correct way. You find them, together with the corresponding descriptions, on this page. You will reach the Autobahndreieck Hamburg-Nordwest at km 146 on the A7.

After the highway exit, go over the bridge and make a right onto Kieler Straße.

Follow the street for approx. 6 km ( 3.7 miles ). The pictures should be helpful for orientating yourself on the way. Don’t be confused by the fact that the street changes its name to Holstenstraße - you still want to go straight ahead.

You now cross the Reeperbahn and the Holstenstraße changes to Pepermölenbeck.

After some hundred metres you will pass a small bridge. At the traffic light behind the bridge, turn left into the Breite Straße. The Elbe River  is in front of you now and you follow the street parallel to the river. By the way, the Breite Straße is now called Sankt Pauli Fischmarkt / Hafenstraße from this point.

You drive on the Landungsbrücken and pass one of Hamburg’s landmarks, the three-masted sailing ship „Rickmer Rickmers“.

You have driven for approx. 1 km parallel to the Elbe River now, first on the street Johannisbollwerk, and afterwards the street Vorsetzen.

Please make a right now onto the Niederbaumbrücke and follow (straight on past the roundabout) the street Am Sandtorkai.

Pass underneath a small pedestrian bridge and then make a left into the street Auf dem Sande.

If you turn left at the next block of buildings (just before the bridge), you will arrive directly in front of the Miniatur Wunderland's parking lot. Welcome!
