Elbphilharmonie Inauguration on November 13th at Miniatur Wunderland

Experience an unforgettable evening followed by a culinary trip around the world!

After numerous delays in construction work, unbelievable bloopers caused by Construction Company Ups + Downs, problems with a glass monster, and two-fold construction costs, the Elbphilharmonie will be inaugurated on November 13th, at last. It was a long haul. Exactly 365 days before the Grand Opening of the miniature mammoth-project, the foundation stone was laid. Originally the finishing was planned for spring 2013 after round-about 5,500 working hours. Spring-time turned into fall, and working hours almost doubled to 10,000, instead.

Now, the deed is almost done, and will be celebrated in style. On November 13th the Elbphilharmonie will be inaugurated within the scope of a large fund-raiser event. In cooperation with the team of the large Elbphilharmonie and the NDR radio symphony orchestra we came up with an exclusive event on the occasion.

The event tickets cost 79 Euro. They are available at our onlineshop.

Or call: +49 (40) 300680-0

The event starts at 7 p.m. with a 35-minute concert of the NDR radio symphony orchestra conducted by chief conductor Thomas Henglbrook at Theater Kehrwieder (next door from Wunderland). Afterwards, the event will continue at Miniatur Wunderland with speeches by culture senator Prof. Barbara Kisseler, Christoph Lieben-Seutter, director of the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle, Thomas Hengelbrock, and Frederik Braun, as well as an elaborately staged inauguration of the Elbphilharmonie.

We ask for your understanding that it might not be possible to get a direct view at the inauguration, due to a large crowd of media representatives expected for this event. However, the inauguration will be broadcast live on screens on site.

Until midnight all guests of this event have the opportunity to experience Miniatur Wunderland, and the new layout HafenCity and the Elbphilharmonie within the scope of a culinary trip around the world.
