Fly, fly away...
Airport under construction
Since almost a year we work on the airport section. Meanwhile, the first terminals are built, the benchwork is partly up, and the first planes and vehicles are built and painted. Moreover, some technical components have been developed, built, and currently undergo thorough test runs on a special test layout.
Planes can already be run computer-controlled along the taxiways, as does a pushback vehicle and the first airport bus.
The first test runs for the start- and landing system are scheduled for the upcoming weeks. We hope to cinduct the first test flights by the end of November.

This picture shows the runway of our future airport. In the foreground you see the sledge with the two bars holding the airplanes during start and landing.
This is the catapult sledge to start and land the planes. The two bars on top will raise and lower the planes.
The construction plan in 1:1 scale has been stapled to the benchwork. Some buildings are (almost) finished and already placed into their final locations. The wooden case to the left will contain the underground train station which will be hung underneath the benchwork.
One of the first finished buildings is the so-called Terminal Tango.
The test section serves as proving ground for all planes and vehicles but also for software and technical components.
This pushback vehicle already absolved successfull test runs.
This catering truck is - as are most of the vehicles - a completely scratchbuilt model of an existing prototype.
This approx. 3x2 cm big vehicle is one of countless luggage tractors to conquer the apron of our airport.
One of the first traffic supervising vehicles in its characteristic livery.
This apron bus will also travel the airport section - controlled by the CarSystem. It is already now available in our online-shop.
The first trucks to be converted to the CarSystem arrived in our shops.
The tower is also already under construction. After all, the rule says Safety First!! :-))
The first of hundreds of airfreight containers have been decalled and weathered.
Many details like airline logos and tension belts can be recognized on these roughly 2 cm big containers.
Due to the lack of hangars, many planes are still stored in shelves, among them an A 380 in all its beauty.
