Miniatur Wunderland Weekly Report

Weekly Report No 403, CW 29
From Monday, 14.07.2008 to Sunday, 20.07.2008
The highlight of the week was an exceptional event but see for yourselves:
The animal asylum in the Hamburg section despreately needed a refurbishment. Therefore, the 'old' asylum was completely rebuilt. Before the refurbishement, we just had large kennels which now have been replaced by nice and large....
…outdoor areas.
To avoid mistakes palnning the airport, Gerrit currently tests every airplane for tunring space and running properties. The tricky part is to provide space for all planes in a very limited area. Therefore, frequent 'fitting tests' like this one are staged. If you look closer, you already can see a first test for pushback vehicle in the background (close to the 747).
July 16, 2008 at 09:59 hrs, it happened: We welcomed the 5,000,000th visitor in the Wunderland. Of course, we had a couple of surprises for our guest but imagine our surprise when we learned that our guest of honor was a little 5 year old girl named Merle Wiltsche from Austria!.
But then it was our turn to surprise. First, the obligatory cake was presented to Merle who already awed at it with wide open eyes. This was, however, just one of the many surprises we had for Merle, like life-long free entry and a small airplane. The full coverage can be watched in Miwual-TV (in German only).
