Weekly Report No 311, CW 41
From Monday, 09.10.2006 to Sunday, 15.10.2006It seems, we get going. A couple of days ago, Gaston started building the first large bridge! We didn't count them yet but there will be a couple of bridges to be built. But once there's a start... :-))
This picture shows first impressions. Anybody already recognized the bridge???
Everything starts with a thorough research. Both the Internet and books deliver a lot of information and inspiration.
The Langwieser Viaduct on the line Chur-Arosa is a milestone of bridge construction. It was the first bridge made with iron concrete. The Langwieser Viaduct measures 285 m and is the longest bridge of the RhB. It was opened in 1914. A special view is the illuminated viaduct during the winter season.
Our Langwieser Viaduct will measure approximately 2,08 Meters.
