Weekly Report No 288, CW 18
From Monday, 01.05.2006 to Sunday, 07.05.2006Big events already cast their shadows but we won't tell too much. We'll reveal them in the next weekly report...
Provided on a special request but not really 'spectacular':
The hole between Switzerland and Austria seen from the side of the Alps mountain range....
The seminar room shrunk a bit;
it had to share some space with the new lockers for our visitors.
The protecting wall once again was a bit relocated to provide more space for the model builders at the future edge of the layout.
Slowly, the lumber pile from report 287 ( pict. 9 ) is converted into a real staging yard.
There are also quite a few preparations under way for the oncoming soccer world championship this June. Fans will have to detailled (in the approbiate trikots, of course), flags for the games and winner-celebrations wait to be processed....

Seen lately in the shops: the last feet of TransRapid- trackwork. Now only the curve is missing which will - thanks to vacation - not be finished next week ;-)
The parade ...
...in the USA - section...
changed a bit and on top of this,...
... a new pushbutton action in form of a fire-artist was added.
The Hamburg media recently published some 'questionable' numbers:
According to them, the 22nd Blue Goal had been erected in Hamburg.
Well, that is definitely a 'hoax' since the 28 Blue Goals in the Miniatur Wunderland were not accounted for... ;-)
