Weekly Report No 265, CW 47
From Monday, 21.11.2005 to Sunday, 27.11.2005A rainy morning in Hamburg – the ideal time to visit the world's largest model railroad layout in the Hamburg Speicherstadt! ...and the guests saw a lot to awe at, a very important visitor was announced. The only real finnish Santa arrived with a finnish and german press delegation.
n Wednesday at 11:00 it was time: Children's and adults' eyes gleamed alike when Santa from the finnish province of Lapland entered tha halls of the Miniatur Wunderland.
he new mini-Scandinavia made the wise old man want to know more and lured him to Hamburg. He wanted to see in person how the activities of the small scandinavians developed during the pre-christmas period. And indeed, there was quite a lot to discuss. After all, it was the first christmas ceremony to be celebrated in the Hamburg „Scandinavia section“.
He checked the snow, counted the reindeers, handed out a couple of hints for the coming season. A group of children performed a couple of christmas carols for this extraordinary visitor. Hot red wine with almonds and raisins added to the warmth in the hearts.
The Wunderland visitors also asked the wise man a lot of questions and presented their whishes. Santa answered all of them with a lot of patience and extra-ordinary naturality.
This was a very special event for everybody which, since Wednesday, left a finnish touch of christmas in the Wunderland hearts.
After this special guest left, the season is definitely on in the Wunderland!
A village in the mood for christmas...
Christmas trees everywhere....
Of course the christmarket also began
And the christmas tree sale must not be missed out. But what has a moose to do with that?
An old project is on the desk again in the model building workshop
- let's see -
- maybe it's going to be a christmas present?
Mysterious objects showed up on the ceiling of Scandinavia... When I asked about the deadline, I just got a short : "Soon!". I have to point out, however, that there is a relative difference between the "soon" of a mayfly and that of an elephant - so much for the elephants from the development department :-)).
Well, there was something else! The story of this picture will be told on TV-channel Pro Sieben on Monday, 12/12/05 at 19:00 hrs in a 25-minute report by Galileo!
