Weekly Report No 198, CW 33
From Monday, 09.08.2004 to Sunday, 15.08.2004"10, 9, 8 ... 3, 2, 1 ... LIFTOFF, we have a liftoff!!" and Harry Important whitnessed it to present this event to our valued readers in form of a foto series.
Until today, the shuttle was launched every 10 minutes 4 out of 5 days(by pushing an action button on the railing).
Some time during the 5th day the steel wire will weaken and break and will have to be changed in the evening.
A new tree is planted near the skating rink in the Alps. Not that the park really needed it but the authorities of St. Wendel just don't know what to do with the tourists' money...
Where the workers were busy...
...building the benchwork yesterday,...
...today the 1:1 drawings are laid out..
The last hotel addition of Las Vegas is finally illuminated.
It will be set into layout during the next two weeks (we remember that the wiring team is currently busy changing the vehicles in the older parts of the layout?).
After the freight vessel (15th week), this is the first ferry for Scandinavia.
Here, the stairway went up from the waiting room to the layout area. "Jipiieeee, no more waiting time!"...? Errr, hmmm, well, there still will be a waiting line but that's somewhere else now ;-).
The first 60 meters of track for Scandinavia are already down.
I still fail trying to capture the size of the room in a foto. There's only one thing that can help: Drop by !! ;-)
