Weekly Report No 195, CW 30
From Monday, 19.07.2004 to Sunday, 25.07.2004Nightshifts again! After Frank has been here a week beginning July, he'll return next week to shoot more pictures. All in all, I think, it will take 15 to 20 days until fotos are done. And what is this good for? The work title is "The History of the MiWuLa" and will be published as a book with roughly 300 fotos on 200 pages. Completely new fotos and perspectives never seen before will offer the perfect addition to Eisenbahn Kurier special editions. Publishing date is currently planned for end october/beginning November. As soon as the final release date is fixed, we publish it in our newsletter. Following is a small selection of motives which by far are not in the final quality since they have been shot with a digital camera. Frank uses slide film in a special camera for the final pictures (see pic 3) which offers a real depth of field.

Carefull lighting is especially important for fotos which feature an extreme depth of field. Frank Zarges uses up to 10 lamps so it takes some time until the set is ready to shoot.

View from the window... Oops, this is reality: Dream weather in Hamburg. The evening panorama was awesome!
Even if it doesnt't look like it: Yes, this is Knuffingen! By using an artificial background the small fantasy - town looks even more realistic.
