Weekly Report No 144, CW 31
From Monday, 28.07.2003 to Sunday, 03.08.2003
Did it, the first MFM (MiWuLa Forum Meeting) is survived. Of course, there will be an extra report; the preparations are already under way (More than 1500 photos have to be sortedout, highlights to be filtered out, and lots more). The participating authors (Ofronk, Flo, Uli, and my humble one hope to get this done within a week ;-)
There are also new photos from the American section (this time we look at the parts where the most action was). And don't forget: There's a lot of work waiting for us on the center peninsula, in Las Vegas, and in the Rockies; so no chance to finish all this until next week ;-)
The stell bridge is completely scratch built from wood (Guess, who did that :-) ).
It will pick up the track from the opposite side of the canyon...
and safely carry trains over the gorge.
The Kennedy Space Center is in it's place. Except for the large hall which comes in last, after all work is finished. We still have a couple of months to work here and want to protect the building from damage.
Florida - judging by the color of the water and heat outside, I feel really tempted to drop the next report and spend another week at the shoreline ;-)
The swamps - Footbridges offer secure ways for tourists through the mangrove swamps.
Here we also meet our bungee-jumper again.
If you look at the brush, jungle feeling comes up.
This is the wooden trestle which will be travelled by the CarSystem vehicles later on
Close to the train station and on the banks of the swamp, there are couple of log huts (also scratch built)...
...which provide dry feet since they have been built on wooden stilts.
The sunflower fields grow and keep on growing.
Already the runour is spread that somebody wants to establish a monopoly. We'll have more on that next week...
