Now that slowly a landscape emerges from the maze of risers, subroadbeds, and wire mesh, ideas again spark up about what can be done in a better way and which gimmicks could be built into which locations. So, a forest is quickly converted into a huge construction site featuring a crane-ballet and an open air concert is staged on the land in front of the dykes.
Here, a forested hill with villas will be created.
Greetings from the 'Süllberg'. This is a Hamburg landmark in the suburb of Blankenese with many ancient merchant's and captain's villas....
The excavation work for the underground station makes good progress.
In future, working ascalators will take passengers from the underground to up to platforms of Hamburg Central Station.
These arcades house, like the prototype, a surf store and a music shop. Here, the underground leaves solid terrain and continues to run on bridges. This is reason, why the underground in Hamburg is called 'Hochbahn' (Highline).
Moderne art? Yes, apparently, town planners and architects had a ball here..
Now it is time to build in the bridges in the Speicherstadt area...
...and have the masonries put up the canal walls..
This combination bridge is already built in..
The tram uses the upper bridge..
