Weekly Report No 112, CW 51

From Monday, 16.12.2002 to Sunday, 22.12.2002

Not only did we see many contributions in the forum, we also have been bombed with many e-mails ;-) We didn't really expect this many whishes and good ideas but will see which of them we can fulfill. I will also explain why we couldn't fulfill certain whishes...
To make it clear right away: There won't be videos this week but we are currently working on a few MBs video data to be presented here in the last report of this year (I just hope that the server will not break down during the holidays ;-)
So all that remains is whishing all our fans and friends a merry christmas!

What we can't (or don't want to) report here (yet):

A gallery of all trains:
Who thought that? We have so much rolling stock that it will take considerable time until something is happening here. However: We do plan a gallery, equivalent to the CarSystem online database, for the trains with many additional data like prototype runs, technical data, travelled distance on the layout, pictures, and many more - a final release date is yet unknown.

Pictures from underneath the layout:
There already are a few pictures in the weekly reports (week 100, pics 1 - 3 , Pictures of the staging yards are also very difficult to take (week 103, pics 5-7), the main limits here are depth of field and light (even a lamp can just light up the first train, the rest remains in the dark)

The airport:
There is still work to do at the airport, unfortunately the same guy who currently works on detailing the port, is in charge for this. So this has to be a topic for a future report...

The team:

Here, a capital update (incl. new outfit) is due for beginning next year. Unnessessary to bring it up now, right? ;-)

Wire storage

Backstage-views, and hidden therein the long waited for picture of the charging station. All in all, one thing is clearly visible: Only a genius can live in chaos... Material storage: wires - currently, we heavily discuss wether we already used 1,000 or already 5,000 kilometers for the layout. Important to know: Multicore-cables are counted according to their included single strands.

Rolling stock

Rolling stock - All these cars wait to be adjusted for the layout: all of them need special couplers that won't accidentally open, lights, or other axles and wheelsets( DC or AC).

Kdi's corner 'victims'

This are the victims of the Kid's corner ;-) All in all, we already bought some 30 complete trainsets for the kid's corner.... These here are just for slavaging some spare parts....
