Weekly Report No 7, CW 50

From Monday, 11.12.2000 to Sunday, 17.12.2000

We made it! On Tuesday, 12.12.2000, our project really lifts off! Gerhard Dauscher arrived today with a big roll of plans. What we saw earlier on a DIN A4 sheet of paper, is plotted 1:1 to a full scale trackplan on 100 square meters ( 1,076.39 sq. ft.) of paper. Now we can really start!

Gerhard Dauscher with the plans.

Gerhard Dauscher at 75 cms ( 2.46 feet )elevation! The plans are stitched to the benchwork. At least, the first section can already be viewd one-dimensional.

Our team laying out the plans.

A whole day was needed by 5 men (one of them a woman) to lay out all plans for the first section. Only about 7% of the complete layout area can be seen in this photo!

View to Klosteberg

Unfortunately not to be seen in this photo: From the plans one can already recognize the awesome three-dimensional landscape. In this area, a "SMALL" station with 8 tracks (considering the size of the project, 8 tracks is not big!) somewhere in the mid-range mountains of Germany will be created. It will be crossed by a dedicated ICE track on high concrete bridges. In the background, we will have high mountains with a summit station, etc. A river will invite boaters to moore at a large pier, and much more....

There shall be (temporary) light!

Our temporary illumination lights up the scene. In the background, Gehard Dauscher admires his work!
