Weekly Report No 2 CW 45
From Monday, 6.11.2000 to Sunday, 12.11.2000
This week, we will break through the first walls, initial paintwork preparations will have to be done, and the new ceiling will be tackled. The ceiling was a raw wooden one and will be completely covered with drywall to minimize dust. Further on, the first 20 applicants will attend their seminar under the guidance of Gerhard Dauscher. On one hand, we want to check out which talents are already there; on the other hand it is our goal to bring all modelers up to (ideally) one standard. It'll be one of the most important and most difficult tasks to convince all modelers to one modeling style only so that the layout will look as realistic as possible!
The first wall break-throughs have successfully been accomplished with heavy-duty tools. We had about 30 cbm rubble from the break-throughs only!
A manhole for our future maintenance aisle
The large holes will later connect the layout sections
Some walls had to be broken through and naturally some new ones had to be built up, too!
Slowly, the ceiling works show progress! Some 1600 sqm ceiling have to be covered with drywall!
During the first seminar, our chief modeller Gerhard Dauscher demonstrated a couple of modelling techniques!
We can take a deep breath! Already the first 20 candidates are worth their weight in gold! Now we're really confident!!
Gerhard Dauscher shows it...
... and the attendees (try to) copy it!
