Gerrits Diary Vol. 9: Aircraft tires, Pushbacks, refuelling tanker
This edition shows our first tanker trucks, and push-backs in continuous duty.
Unfortunately, our past weeks were characterized with some problems. Since we installed new tires in our aircrafts, we suddenly met with problems in the start catapult. These delicate tires run too smooth for our system. More about that in the report.
Right now, also our new control platines are cause for worry. For unknown reasons the software, and the platine don't speak the same language, making current tests almost impossible. But I'm positive to be able to erase those communication errors, soon.
But there are also good news. We performed first tests with a new push-back mechanism, which work beautifully. Five little push-back vehicles bring dispatched airplanes onto the runway.
Later on, at the freight terminal, nine of these little vehicles will do this job 365 days a year.
