Functioning Wagon-Turning Switch
We would like to finally have the Hamburg turning switch completely digitally controlled.
Our plan for the railcar turning switch which was supposed to be completed already in November 2002 opening of the Hamburg section, didn't get done due to time constraints.
We had planned on a complete digital control system for the train-turning switch in the Hamburg section. To run this system in a durable and reliable manner, our technician Dieter Hinz programmed special Railware software.
We have been focusing on this system again, and it's design was completed recently. We will implement this ambitious project after the completion of the Switzerland area construction.
