Characteristics On the 23rd May 2005 the Fire Department Knuffingen had its sadest emergency so far. The alarm code was "FEUKFZ", truck on fire in the charging station Knuffingen. When the action force arrived on site, they saw a harrowing scene: after 1377 days in service and approx. 29,000 emergencies, the ladder truck of the fire station 2 was on fire. A short in the battery was the reason for "Fire". The vehicle was the first ladder-prototype. It was quite high-legged as the processor had had to be installed on the 'bed' (under the red 'equipment box'). This ladder with a basket was last allocated to the Fire Station 2 of Knuffingen's Fire Department, before it was in operation at the Fire Station 1 for one year. Now the vehicle is displayed in the Museum of Knuffingen's history.
