DONATION CAMPAIGN - PINS FOR CHARITY

A brief description (for those who don't have enough time):
Each month a new collection PIN, and for 2010 also magnets are being released with the nicest details of the exhibit. ALL revenues (including production costs) are completely passed on to charity organisations, each month a different institution. The institutions which receive the money are chosen by the purchasers of the pins. The pins are available either individually or as a complete year collection set including an extra pin/magnet.
The price is 2.90 € per piece, and hopefully all our guests buy them in our online shop.

We live in Germany, a country which is home to luxury and poverty at the same time. Many of us have a good life. However, compared to the rest of the world, most of us have very good to excellent lives. 

Germany is famous for its willingness to donate. That became obvious five years ago when the Tsunami disaster hit Asia. Almost 700 million Euros were donated at that time. Every day, tens of thousands of children die worldwide, who could still be alive if fortune would have favoured them, and they were born in Germany. However, there is also poverty and diseases among children in Germany which makes it impossible for them to have a carefree childhood like most of you hopefully had.

We are only a small medium-sized business which fortunately attracts some attention :-). We have used this attention several times in the past in order to do some good. Certainly, this also means for us to give something. Both factors combined will hopefully raise a lot of money for charity in the future.
 
Now, we thought about a very special campaign. Many visitors ask for pins of the Wunderland. From now on, there is a new collection pin available every month, from 2010 on, also magnets. The pins/magnets cost 2.90 €, a standard price. HOWEVER, all revenues are completely passed on to the respective institution. That means including the costs of production which is our part of the donation. In case we are able to sell all pins, the donation will be 5,800,- € per month as 2,000 pins are produced per motive (2,000 x 2,90 €)! Hopefully, all of you take part – the first pins have already been released. By the way, we advance the full amount each month, as soon as a pin patron has been chosen. Unfortunately, not all pins were sold in 2009, so we will only produce 1000 pins/magnet temporarily in 2010, which amounts to 2900,- € donations each month. We expect to also sell all 2009 pins within one year, and want to raise the amount of pins/magnets produced up to 2000 again. By expanding our offer with magnets, we hope to sell even more. We ask everyone to participate – the first magnets have already been released.  The exclusive annual collection including the extra pin/ magnet is available in the Onlineshop.

Now, some more information about the pins. We will produce 12 pins with images of one of the exhibit sections each year. Here you can see the planned editions:

All purchasers of the annual collection can co-decide which institution receives the money! And now we hope for high participation.

P.S. Here some information for the suspicious readers among you. Such a campaign demands a lot of faith in the fundraiser. We promise not to betray that trust! We have, that’s what we think at least, a high reputation which we don’t want to lose. However, in the following, you find some more information which hopefully confirms your trust in us:  We will regularly publish all facts and figures. This includes delivery notes as well as transfer vouchers to the institutions. We will do a cash check each quarter of a year, and the received amounts will be passed on immediately. If a pin is sold out very fast, we will transfer the money at once. In case we can foresee that all pins are always sold out, we will make advance payments of the complete amount of 5,800,- €, in 2010 it will be only 2,900,- € each month, which we can hopefully raise again up to 5,800,- € in 2011.
