Erhard,

As you can see, I'm registered, again. I first registered in April 2006 but I didn't return very often and the software deleted me, eventually. I'll try to be a bit more active.

One question/complain: Do I have to register on the Deutsch message boards as well as on this English version? IMHO, when you register on one of them you should also be automatically registered on the other one. Maybe that's not possible but it's something that would really be helpful to those of us trying to learn a second language (be it English or Deutsch).

Hi Dorr,

Great to have you back here!

Unfortunately, it is not possible (yet) to register once for both sites (German and English) as the system doesn't allow this. The two sites are kept independently from each other...

Take care,
Erhard

Erhard,

Thanks for the welcome.

So maybe in the future a single registration will do both sites? Good. There does appear to be some minor conntection between the two sites, already. I managed to work my way through the German registration (tough on an old geezer like me whose German is really horrid) and the only problem I ran into was that the German site refused to let me use my primary email address, saying that another member was already using it. I presume that "member" was me on the English site. Smile

Hmm, did you already forget the lessons I gave you? Ok,Ok, a wee bit of time has passed since then Laughing

Your presumption was right. In future, we want to merge those two databases and use just one. Makes maintenance a bit easier on us...

Erhard,

Hey, I'm 61 now so the memory fades from time to time. Embarassed

Merging the databases sounds like a good idea. Ease of maintenance is always an admirable goal.

Dorr,

That's pure selfishness: We also age... Laughing

Erhard,

Well, of course it's selfishness! Sad

However, I'm beginning to wonder about you. The last time I saw you (in 2006) you looked the same as you did 10 years earlier. I guess it's your lifestyle that keeps ya looking so young. Very Happy

Well, not any more... The hair slowly, but durely takes on a greyish tint but the rest looks more or less the same, except for the growing belly Smile I think, the belly is owed to my better half's great cooking Razz
